One in the morning, an old student dormitory. Temuulen leaves his friend Anu's room and heads to the washroom. A girl stands at the sink with her back to him, crying. She calls him "Tsolmon". The janitor knows what happened in this building years ago. A sad, frightening horror story. Play with headphones. Plays on phones too. (In Mongolian.)

About this game

Many Mongolian schools and universities have an old dormitory next door: long dark corridors, shared washrooms, a night janitor, sounds from behind the walls. Students pass down stories about what happened in these buildings many years ago.

"The Dormitory" is a horror game built on one such story, voiced in Mongolian. It is not only about scares: it is a story of love, betrayal, grief and forgiveness. As Temuulen, you walk the building at night and slowly find out what happened to a girl named Tsolmon. All characters and events are fictional.

Tips

• Play with headphones. Listen for where the running water, the crying and the footsteps come from.
• Use E to look at things and open doors. Pay attention to mirrors, walls and windows.
• Sometimes you will need to crouch (C) and stay quiet.
• If you lose, you start again from the beginning of that part, not the whole game.
• If the subject feels heavy, stop and take a break.
