A winter morning, in bed in a Soviet-era apartment block. To skip school you have to convince your mom you are sick: heat the thermometer on hot tea, the lamp or the radiator, press a hot cup to your forehead, make a sick face and cough while she is watching, and don't touch your breakfast. Overdo it and she will take you to the hospital. Five endings. Play in Mongolian or English.
About this game
Lots of people pretended to be sick to skip school as kids. Fake Fever is a comedy about exactly that morning: a cold winter day, a room in a Soviet-era apartment block, Dad's voice from the kitchen, a hot cup of tea on the table.
Mom comes in to check on you several times, and everything you do moves two meters: Belief and Suspicion. Fill Suspicion and you are caught and off to school. Be too convincingly ill and you are off to the hospital. Five endings, in Mongolian or English.
Tips
- When you hear Mom's footsteps, put things down and stop heating the thermometer.
- Don't overheat the thermometer. Stay under 39°.
- The sick face (F) and coughing (C) only work while Mom is watching.
- Check your phone when Mom is out. Your friend might have a tip.
